Note, by the way, that Martin did a very cool thing in posting his letter in the original Spanish, and in an English translation. Martin's decision to acknowledge his orientation publicly was spurred by the memoir he's been writing. He notes in the letter that "At this moment I'm feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share."

Also note, by the way, that despite assertions elsewhere, Martin was not "living in the closet," he simply responded to impertinent questions about his sex life with polite refusals to respond.
